Who Can Apply:
- “When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, “Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.” – Fred Rogers
- I have always found inspiration in these words of comfort from Mister Rogers, but for it to be true someone has to step up and be the helper. This scholarship is in honor of those who rise to the occasion when people are in need. It provides help funding for tuition and supplies to those who aim to become a Firefighter, EMT or Paramedic.
- Any high school graduate who is at least eighteen years old may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they’re a low-income individual planning on going into fire academy or pursuing schooling to become an EMT or paramedic.
