The Plumbing Engineer III at Ingenuity Engineers isn’t just another team member — they’re a technical leader and a driving force behind our plumbing design excellence. In this role, you’ll step into a key position within our growing team, mentoring others, owning complex design challenges, and ensuring our plumbing systems perform flawlessly from concept to construction. If you’re ready to lead with expertise and collaborate with purpose, this is where your impact starts.Key Responsibilities: Understand and can explain advanced plumbing theory/calculations, plumbing system components and devices.Interpret codes, standards, and design requirements, applying them to the design and consulting with code officials as needed.Develop calculations, design narratives, and work plans to be used as the basis of design of the plumbing systems and project specifications.Assume the role of Engineer of Record for own projects.Review the work of others and provides specific direction to the project team to further the design.Help resolve workflow issues.Provide mentorship to associates with less experience and training.Apply advanced engineering principles to solve technical and coordination issues.Oversee project designs and budgets with minimal supervision.Attend internal and client coordination meetings with the ability to give guidance, make technical decisions and ensure project goals are met.Travel to jobsites as needed to resolve any challenges.Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals, ensuring long-term client satisfaction.Display leadership and management abilities.Provide cross-disciplinary technical and engineering assistance.Contribute to the business development efforts.Refine and develop processes to help improve efficiency and quality.Takes personal ownership of the work produced.Bachelor’s degree with P.E.Significant proven technical experience, leadership, and field experience.  Required Qualifications (continued):
Thorough understanding of the components of mechanical, electrical, and fire protection systems that require plumbing system support, with the ability to coordinate these disciplinary requirements into the plumbing design.Experience working in a professional A/E office, Consulting Firm, Construction Contractor, or equivalent.Proficient knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and other basic software.Proficient in Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, other basic software.Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, photometric and other design related software.Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and engage with external stakeholders and teams.Ability to sit, stand, walk for extended periods, with occasional bending and the capacity to lift up to 10 lbs. as needed.Willingness and ability to travel as needed for project meetings, site visits, or client engagements.
