Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Contract Civil Engineer to serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) for the design of a private mountain water system supporting a rural residential subdivision in Colorado. The position requires full design responsibility, plan stamping, and delivery of a complete, agency-ready set of construction documents for the water infrastructure.The scope includes the transmission main, distribution system, booster pump station, and water storage tank, all of which must meet regulatory standards for permitting and construction.This is a contract position. You will collaborate with the site civil engineer (project manager) who will stamp the non-water system components (e.g., grading, drainage, access).Responsibilities
Act as Engineer of Record for the complete water system design.Design and stamp plans for:A 3,600-foot transmission mainWater distribution network for multiple rural lotsBooster pump station (mechanical, civil, control logic)60,000-gallon water storage tank and foundationProvide plan/profile sheets, mechanical layout, construction details, and technical specifications.Coordinate with the site civil engineer on survey, lidar base mapping, geotechnical coordination, and permitting support.Support regulatory review process with CDPHE and other applicable agencies.Deliver construction-ready, stamped plan set (DWG + PDF formats).

Preferred Qualifications
PE license in Colorado (required)10+ years of experience in water infrastructure designProven expertise with HDPE pipe systems, pump station design, and tank foundations on sloped terrainProficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D (required)Experience submitting plans to health departments or regulatory agenciesAbility to work independently, take full design responsibility, and meet schedule expectations
CompensationCompensation is negotiable based on experience and scope. Please include your proposed hourly rate or lump sum fee with your application. A target range will be shared during proposal review.
