- The Jamie Anderson Scholarship wishes to honor the memory of Jamie Anderson, a compassionate and resilient young individual who tragically lost her life on April 23, 2019, after being hit by a train at the age of 16. Despite facing challenges as a foster care youth, Jamie aspired to become a social worker to make a positive impact on the lives of others with similar experiences. Her infectious smile and determination inspired those around her, leading to the initiation of this scholarship.
- The Jamie Anderson Scholarship aims to support and encourage young individuals who, like Jamie, have a desire to pursue a college degree despite facing difficult circumstances.
- High school seniors in Ohio with a 2.0-3.0 GPA may apply.
