Who Can Apply:
- Roy Nelson was a beloved father who recently passed away after an incredible life of helping others.
- Roy was a Korean vet who attempted to use the newly created GI Bill to go to college to study electrical engineering. Unfortunately, the GI Bill did not pay out quickly enough to allow him to remain in school (Milwaukee School of Engineering), so he had to give up on that dream. He would have wanted to help others get the chance to achieve their goals.
- This scholarship seeks to honor the memory of Roy Nelson by supporting students who share his commitment to engineering and service.
- Any high school senior who is a New Jersey resident may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they plan to major in engineering in college. Applicants who are involved in the military or JROTC are preferred.
