Also, I compile, organize, analyze, and manage all historical data. Basically, if it is getting done and no one else has it in their job description, I am the one doing it.

What three words best describe you?
Happy, kind, and distractable

Share your favorite ASPSF student story.
I was distributing laptops during the pandemic to recipients who did not have one. One of our recipients closed her new laptop with a highlighter on the keyboard breaking her screen. She initially lied about what happened but while we were chatting, she admitted what happened. I applauded her for being honest and shipped her a new laptop. I explained that there would be many times in her career that lying about a mistake would seem the best route, but it never is. Just be honest and admit when you make a mistake. She was super grateful I shared that advice, and we kept in touch for a long time. She graduated from our program and became a nurse.

What’s your proudest accomplishment?
Receiving an honorable discharge from the Navy.

What book are you reading now?
Battlefield Doc: Memoirs of a Korean War Combat Medic” by William J. Anderson

What’s your go-to Karaoke song?
Almost” by Bowling for Soup

What do you love about the ASPSF mission?
The fact we empower a single parent to reach their goals and achieve their vision of using education to obtain their dream job.
