We are a cosmetics company seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented person with great organizational skills to work remotely. Must have a strong GAAP accounting background. Experience in NetSuite and Shopify is a plus. The ideal candidate will be able to handle all aspects of accounting for a fast-paced company. As a Senior Accountant, you will manage a variety of financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance, and the execution of key accounting processes.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable: Process and manage vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.

Accounts Receivable: Oversee accounts receivable functions, ensuring invoices are sent promptly and payments are collected on time.

Invoice Payments: Process and track all outgoing payments, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.

Bi-Monthly Payroll Processing: Administer payroll processing for employees, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.

Sales Taxes: Ensure sales tax filings and payments are accurate and comply with relevant tax regulations.

Accounting Email Inbox: Manage the accounting inbox, ensuring timely responses and proper routing of inquiries.

Customer Payment Requests: Proactively contact customers to follow up on overdue payments and resolve payment issues.
- Customer Invoice Deductions: Process customer invoice deductions.
- Sales tax compliance and filings.
- Month-End Close: Handle the full month-end close process, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.

Weekly cash flow projections

Perform all ad hoc financial reporting requests

Perform general accounting and financial reporting functions for management and external reporting needs

Ensure financial recordkeeping and reporting

Ensure accurate reporting of financial information

Prepare / Review internal monthly financial reports
