Join a dynamic and fast-paced metal stamping and tool & die company in Madison Heights, MI, as a Contract CAD Designer! This is an exciting opportunity to step into a crucial role where your expertise in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor will be immediately put to use. The company is seeking a proactive, self-reliant CAD expert to help them access and utilize complex design files and software they currently can’t navigate. If you’re ready to hit the ground running, this contract position offers immediate impact and flexible hours.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this CAD Designer position include:- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor is required- Experience working with metal stamping and tool and die design projects- Ability to independently access, understand, and manipulate CAD data and files- No degree or certification requirements—proven knowledge and skill are what matter- Flexibility for hybrid or remote work if you own your own licensed CAD software- Solve design issues and complete a design assessment to demonstrate your capabilities- Flexible summer schedule, currently Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM- This is a contract role, not a permanent full-time positionSalary: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
