High growth real estate development and healthcare company is seeking motivated and creative team members to carry out our expansion plans. We presently are working on development of a high-rise luxury tower, along with our construction and operating platform of three healthcare facilities in the Las Vegas area with a total of over a 420-bed capacity As we build out our corporate headquarters and operating platform for this coming year, it is an unique time to join a fast paced well positioned company during this coming year.
Construction Project Engineer Job Responsibilities
Working under the direction of the Construction Project Manager.Assist in the development of cost estimates.Review plans, blueprints, drawings, and other technical documents.Answer questions regarding the scope and/or timing of the project.Monitor costs and project progress.Create, manage, and track RFI’s from the field to the architect and engineer of records.Maintain and update project records.Assist the project and manage project schedule and timeline.Assist project team between owner, contractor, and subcontractor.Submit submittals from subcontractors to owner for approval.Assist project in getting building permits for the project.Create site SWPPP book and apply for state and local SWPPP permits/NOI’s for the project.Understand appropriate building codes/ regulations.Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specificationsCoordinate project change-order management, creation, and negotiation.Conduct and document weekly project owner’s meetings/decisions.Assist the project team with site safety and site management documentation and coordination.Assist the project team with closeout of the project.Assist project accountant with monthly subcontractor billings and pay applications.Assist project manager with assigned tasks.
Qualifications:
Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher degree.Must have a degree associated with civil engineering, M.E.P. construction management, or other construction and engineering related fields of majors.Must have 5 years of experience in construction management.Must have on-construction-site management skills and experience.Must have experience in handling projects (single) that is over $10 million in construction cost.Must have strong communication skills.Ability to read and comprehend plans and specifications.High proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and other project management and/or construction management related software.Self-motivated, attention to detail, and result driven characteristics.Flexibility and willingness to adapt and learn.Familiar with office routines and protocols.Must be resided locally in Las Vegas, Nevada and have reliable transportation.
