Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Bridge & Structures Office is seeking to fill a Bridge Engineer 7 vacancy located in Tumwater, WA. Serving as a Design Unit Manager, this position will provide daily leadership, project workforce planning, mentoring, and supervision for one of the Structural Design Unit in the successful design of bridges and structures. This Senior Level Manager position contributes to WSDOT’s mission of providing safe, reliable, and cost-effective transportation by supervising designs and by providing technical expertise to support construction and preservation of highway structures. Highway structures include bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, sign and illumination support structures, traffic barrier systems, and other structural elements contained in the WSDOT highway system. Our top candidate will direct structural engineering efforts performed by office engineers and may direct owner reviews of structural designs prepared for WSDOT by engineering consultants.
