Position Overview
ADF Engineering has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer with experience designing power distribution systems for industrial/commercial clients. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to dynamic and innovative projects across rapidly expanding sectors, such as food processing, bioscience, renewable fuels, and manufacturing. As part of our team, you’ll be working closely with our full-service engineering team to create comprehensive design packages of highest quality.
Key Responsibilities
Lead electrical design scope for low voltage (600V and below) power distribution systems.Ensure compliance with all applicable codes (NPFA 70E and other State and local codes) and standardsPerform short circuit/arc flash/coordination and load studiesPerform lighting designsCreate single lines and specify electrical devices including Motor Control Centers (MCCs) and create layoutsMeets discipline’s engineering schedule and budget objectives on assigned projectsInteract with clients on a regular basis and travel to customer sites for field work and meetings (<20% travel)Assist with construction support, startup and commissioning.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, or related discipline5+ years of electrical design experienceKnowledge of power systems software (SKM, EasyPower or similar)Experience with load studiesFamiliar with AutoCAD and Revit softwareFamiliarity with the National Electrical Code
Preferred Skills
Professional Engineer (PE) licenseField experience in manufacturing, industrial or commercial environmentExperience in consulting engineering and facility designsExperience with Project Management
