The Challenge
We are hiring an Entry-Level Engineering Technician to join our Goldsboro Engineering team.
In this role, you will:
Perform technical work supporting technicians and engineers in construction inspection, surveying, materials sampling, testing, erosion control, and construction traffic controlPerform standardized and non-standardized tests and assignments compiling, analyzing, computing, editing, and processing field data.Apply your decision making skills and use good engineering judgment.Perform a full range of calculations and computations, and be proficient at recordkeeping.Work inside and outside in all kinds of environmental conditions.
What You Bring
• Experience working in a team environment to complete assignments.
• Knowledge and skill in the use of computer equipment, iPad and software.
• Experience in customer service and interacting with the general public.
Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle.Safety toe shoes.
Bonus Points if you have
Knowledge and understanding of the general concepts, practices, and theories used in construction, construction inspection, or construction surveying.Experience planning, developing, scheduling, tracking and completing projects independently or with limited supervision.Experience maintaining neat, legible, and accurate records and reports, including computer/iPad data entry.
Education & Experience
Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, or a related curriculum; orAn equivalent combination of training and experience.
