- Jane spent years coaching and guiding young students and accompanied countless students in musicals and concerts at Aptos High. Jane had a great love of young people and the arts and wanted to see Aptos students chase their dreams and go on to successful careers.
- This scholarship seeks to honor the memory of Jane Meredith Daugherty by supporting students who are preparing to graduate and pursue higher education.
- High school seniors at Aptos High in California may apply for this scholarship if they will be studying visual or performing arts or language studies at the college level.
