- This scholarship, in loving memory of Jose Prado, is founded on the profound belief in the transformative power of education.
- Earning your degree opens up many different opportunities that wouldn’t have been possible before. Higher education allows people to pursue their dreams and turn their passions into a career. This scholarship will support a first generation Hispanic/Latinx high school senior as they pursue their undergraduate degree and the career path of their choice.
- Any low-income Hispanic/Latinx high school senior in Illinois is eligible to apply if they are pursuing college as a first generation student.
Submission: To apply, describe a time in your life when your faith, values, or personal convictions helped you overcome a significant challenge, and how that experience has shaped your goals for the future. Additionally, share a photo of you with someone who has been part of your journey — a family member, mentor, or friend who’s encouraged your dreams.
