Dear Friends,
For over 34 years, the Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund (ASPSF) has provided a culture of support, equipping single parents to navigate their futures with confidence.
In this time, ASPSF has grown to serve 69 of the state’s 75 counties, including Bowie County in Texas. ASPSF’s work provides vital support for low-income single
parents.
Through flexible scholarships designed to be a financial gap filler, student development programs such as job training and life-skills workshops, and individual assistance through mentoring from staff and volunteers, ASPSF helps students attain an education and secure family-supporting wages in the workforce, lifting themselves and their families out of poverty.
None of that work is possible without the help of our volunteers, donors, and advocates like you. 2024 was a year of growth and change for ASPSF. We relocated our headquarters to Central Arkansas, added Jefferson County to our service area, and expanded our fundraising efforts.
We partnered with more organizations, providing our students with additional wraparound services and a larger network of support. We also strengthened our relationships with affiliate organizations.
I am grateful for the openness I have received in my first year leading this incredible organization. From our students and volunteers to our advocates and donors, the individuals I have met as I have traveled across the state have been so welcoming and eager to share what ASPSF means to them.
In our annual report, you will find the impact of our collective efforts. I hope you will be as inspired as I am and be moved to join us in 2025. I look forward to all we continue to accomplish together, opening doors for brighter futures.
Gratefully,
Jenn Morehead
