- It’s easy for any student to feel overwhelmed by the duties that come with pursuing higher education, but some students face heavier burdens than others. Students who act as caregivers for family members shoulder significant responsibilities and time constraints that can make it difficult to focus on school and attain academic success. Caring for an aging, ill, or disabled loved one takes great sacrifice, as caregivers often miss out on social opportunities, extracurriculars, and other experiences that are integral to the typical college experience.
- This scholarship seeks to recognize student caretakers by supporting individuals who are pursuing higher education while caring for others.
- Any undergraduate student in a two or four-year degree program may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they’re a main caregiver for a loved one.
