A bold and innovative new business unit—backed by the stability of an established electronics recycling company—is rewriting the rules of e-scrap processing, and they’re looking for passionate talent to join the revolution. Based in State College, PA, this industry leading team is working to integrate AI and robotics into the materials recovery process, transforming how high-value scrap is sorted, processed, and sold. As a Scrap Materials & Sales Manager, you’ll be on the front lines of this exciting transformation, playing a key role in building a smarter, more efficient, and more profitable recycling operation from the ground up. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Scrap Materials & Sales Manager position include:- 3–5 years of relevant experience in scrap materials or commodity sales, ideally with a focus on recyclable electronics.- In-depth knowledge of metals and components such as copper, aluminum, brass, gold, palladium, and silver.- Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory tracking for scrap materials.- Identify, sort, and classify recyclable materials such as metals, plastics, motors, circuit boards, and PC components.- Build and manage relationships with downstream processors and buyers.- Solicit competitive bids and ensure the most profitable and efficient outcomes for material resale.- Direct materials to appropriate refiners (e.g., for copper and precious metal recovery).- Collaborate with the dismantling team and contribute to the development of a cutting-edge AI-robotics recycling process.Salary: $65,000 – $70,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance (75% coverage for individuals, 50% for families), $10,000 in life insurance with optional additional coverage, a 401(k) with a 3% employer contribution regardless of employee participation, and paid time off that increases with tenure.
